Description

The SEPECAT Jaguar is a French-British military jet that was developed in a joint effort between Breguet and the British Aircraft Corporation in the 1960s as the successor to the French F-100 Super Sabre and the British Hawker Hunter . The Jaguar, designed as a shoulder-wing aircraft , has two engines, a massive main landing gear with twin wheels that enables landings on unpaved runways, and can be equipped with a variety of bombs and missiles .

Different versions were built and exported according to the operating countries. In 2005, the Jaguar was replaced in France by the much more modern Dassault Rafale and in 2007 in Great Britain by the Eurofighter Typhoon .
