Description

The Su-9 Fishpot is a Russian military aircraft that was used as an interceptor . It also carried long-range radar systems to supplement the radar surveillance that was not yet widespread in the 1950s . The most striking feature of the Su-9 was the strongly swept delta wings , which gave it a similarity to the MiG-21 .

The Su-9 was built in only small numbers and was decommissioned in 1976 .
