The Fouga Magister is a French training aircraft developed by the Fouga company in the 1950s . The Magister is known for its distinctive V-tail design , which offers exceptional flight performance and maneuverability .

The aircraft was primarily used as a training aircraft for military pilots and was deployed in several air forces around the world . It can also be used for light bombardment and reconnaissance missions . The combination of good performance and relatively easy handling made the Fouga Magister a popular aircraft in pilot training .

In total, several hundred Magisters were produced, and the aircraft proved itself in a variety of uses before being largely replaced by more modern training systems. Some aircraft are still in use today, primarily in the aerobatic and vintage aircraft scene . The Fouga Magister also became known through its use by the aerobatic teams Patrouille de France , Silver Swallows , Diables Rouges , Esquadrilha de Fumaca , Acro Team , Silver Birds and the Israel Aerobatic Team .
